About Ms. Mo

Welcome to My Words on a String!

I have spent most of my adult life reading, writing and teaching. I love literature. I once slaved endlessly for 45 straight nights and days on James Joyce’s Ulysses. That’s how much I love it. Well, I will be honest, that was Hell.

My writing reflects me. I try and write from the heart. My short stories have the tendency to border somewhere between taboo and heart-wrenching. I like it that way.

Ten years ago, I traveled to Ireland for a writing workshop and began a novel based on song lyrics. It’s been picked up now and again, and I love the concept, I just don’t know how to run with it. So perhaps this will be a launching point, or maybe something completely different all together. Some of you have heard pieces from that larger work. A little of my soul still clings to its pages and I am not quite ready to give it up. Maybe I can work it in to My Words on a String.

I write about my life, which often floats above me in a surreal way. I feel that sometimes I have a good story to tell. Perhaps not for everyone. But what inspires me? Why not let my own music which takes up 3/4 of the memory on my MacBook inspire me?

  1. AnElephantCant think of anything clever to say
    This happens time after time
But he wants you to know
That he likes you and so
He says hello with this silly rhyme
